The keypad is the arrangement of buttons into the lower left hand portion of the Conversion Window. The keypad provides a way for the user to put number into the Input Box with the mouse instead of the keyboard. Simply click on a button to insert that character into the Input Box. If you click on the 'C' button (or Clear button), you will remove the contents of the Input Box. This is functionally equivalent to choosing Select All followed by Clear from the Edit menu.
